The Poltergeist Opening Analysis

The beginning of Poltergeist has a linear start where the story-line is straight forward from a supernatural act happening to the next day basic use of chronological order. The threat happens when the little child talks to the tv. The fact everyone is sleeping establishes fear. The locations stillness and darkness makes the protagonist seem scarier.
